The asset you want to borrow has no liquidity
What happens if I don't repay my loan?
Interest continues accruing
If collateral value drops, you risk liquidation
No fixed repayment schedule or late fees
Loan remains open indefinitely until repaid or liquidated
Liquidations
When can I be liquidated?
When your Health Factor drops below 1.0 due to:
Collateral value decreasing
Borrowed amount increasing (interest accrual)
Oracle price updates
How much can be liquidated?
Up to the configured close factor of your debt per liquidation transaction. The liquidator repays your debt and receives your collateral plus a configurable liquidation incentive.
How can I avoid liquidation?
Keep Health Factor above 1.5
Supply more collateral
Repay portion of your loan
Monitor collateral prices
Set up price alerts
Can I stop a liquidation in progress?
No, liquidations are atomic transactions that complete instantly. Focus on prevention by maintaining safe ratios.
Interest Rates
Why do interest rates change?
Rates adjust automatically based on supply and demand:
More borrowing → Higher rates
More supply → Lower rates
Algorithm ensures liquidity availability
What is the interest rate model?
Block Street uses a Jump Rate Model:
Gradual increase up to 80% utilization
Sharp increase above 80% to ensure liquidity
Updates every block
Are there fixed-rate loans?
No, all loans have variable rates that change with market conditions. Monitor your rates regularly.
Tokenized Stocks
What tokenized stocks are supported?
Support varies but may include:
Major indices (SPY, QQQ)
Large-cap stocks (AAPL, TSLA, AMZN)
Check the app for current listings
How are tokenized stock prices determined?
Prices come from Chainlink and Pyth oracles, which aggregate data from multiple sources including traditional markets.
Can I trade tokenized stocks 24/7?
You can supply and borrow 24/7, but price updates may pause during traditional market closures.
Security & Risks
Is Block Street safe?
While audited and tested, no DeFi protocol is risk-free. Main risks:
Smart contract vulnerabilities
Oracle manipulation
Market volatility
Liquidation risk
How does the protocol protect user funds?
Our smart contracts undergo rigorous third-party audits by top security firms. Audit reports are publicly available in our
Security
section.
What happens if the protocol is hacked?
Emergency pause activated
Assessment of damage
Recovery plan implemented
Insurance fund may cover losses
See
Risk Management
Is my money insured?
No government deposit insurance (like FDIC) exists. The protocol has:
Insurance fund from reserves
Third-party insurance integrations under evaluation
Security measures to prevent issues
What if an oracle fails?
Multiple oracle sources for redundancy
Fallback mechanisms activate
Conservative price used if oracles disagree
Manual intervention possible if needed
Platform Features & Access
When will the full liquidity / trading layer be rolled out?
We are currently piloting the protocol with institutional partners. Full retail access to the liquidity layer is planned to follow shortly after.
If I supply stablecoins, is there a mandatory lock-up period before I can withdraw?
No — there is no waiting period for withdrawals after supplying stablecoins.
Which stocks will be supported initially?
We will begin with large-cap, highly liquid U.S. equities and ETFs. Our initial supported list will be published shortly.
Why is my region restricted? Which IP addresses are permitted?
Access is restricted for users in the U.S. and American Samoa to adhere to SEC regulations. IPs from non-U.S. jurisdictions are allowed; U.S. IPs will be blocked at the network or geolocation level.
Why can't I redeem my own MON?
You can redeem the same amount of MON you originally deposited. MON acquired through the platform cannot be withdrawn beyond your initial deposit — this is by design during the current phase.
How can users verify their tokenized stock is real?
Tokenized stock trading is currently in testnet. On-chain verification will be available when the full trading layer launches.
Where can I check all transactions?
The app does not yet include an in-app transaction history. You can view your transactions on the relevant blockchain explorer (e.g., Etherscan or BscScan).
Technical Questions
What is the contract address?
Contract addresses are available in our technical documentation.
How can I verify the contracts?
All contracts are verified on the respective blockchain explorers.
Can I integrate Block Street into my app?
Yes! Integration documentation is available in our
Technical Documentation
.
Is the code open source?
Core protocol contracts are open source and available on
GitHub
.
Fees & Costs
What fees does Block Street charge?
Protocol Fee
: Configurable percentage of interest spread (paid by borrowers)
No deposit fees
No withdrawal fees
Liquidation penalty
: Configurable incentive (paid by liquidated borrowers)
How much are gas fees?
Gas fees vary by network. Typical transaction costs:
Supply/Withdraw: $0.15-0.30
Borrow/Repay: $0.20-0.35
Enable collateral: $0.10-0.20
Are there hidden fees?
No hidden fees. All fees are transparent and shown in the UI before transactions.
Troubleshooting
Transaction failed - what happened?
Common reasons:
Insufficient gas (increase gas limit)
Slippage too high (for liquidations)
Asset not enabled as collateral
Borrowing more than allowed
Pool has insufficient liquidity
Why is my transaction pending?
Network congestion
Gas price too low
Wait or speed up with higher gas
I can't see my supplied assets
