# Payments
## **x402 Facilitator**
**The AWE x402 Facilitator helps applications verify and settle programmatic payments between buyers and sellers.**
[x402](https://docs.x402.org/) is an open payment standard built around the HTTP `402 Payment Required` status code. It allows APIs, applications and agent services to charge for individual requests without requiring subscriptions or manual payment flows.
### How an x402 payment works
1. A buyer requests a protected resource.
2. The server responds with `402 Payment Required` and provides payment instructions.
3. The buyer prepares a payment authorization and submits it with the request.
4. The facilitator verifies the authorization and settles the payment onchain.
5. Once the payment is confirmed, the server provides the requested resource.
### Why use a facilitator?
Applications can verify and settle x402 payments independently. A facilitator provides this functionality as a service, reducing the blockchain infrastructure that each developer needs to operate.
The AWE Facilitator provides standard endpoints for:
* **Verification** — Confirm that a payment authorization is valid.
* **Settlement** — Submit the authorized payment onchain.
* **Status handling** — Return the result to the application so it can provide the requested resource.
### Current support
The AWE Facilitator currently supports fee-free USDC payments on Base, allowing sellers to receive the full payment amount without an additional facilitator fee. Standard network costs may still apply.
### What builders can monetize
The facilitator can support payments for:
* API requests
* AI inference
* MCP tools
* Agent services
* Digital content
* Usage-based applications
AWEtoAgent Kit provides a higher-level framework for adding x402 payments to agent applications.
# Identity
## ERC-8004 and AgentBeat
**ERC-8004 gives agents an onchain identity. AgentBeat makes their activity visible.**
Agents need a consistent way to identify themselves, advertise their services and establish trust with applications and other agents.
### ERC-8004
ERC-8004 is an Ethereum standard for discovering and evaluating agents across organizations without requiring pre-existing trust.
It defines three onchain registries:
* **Identity Registry** — Gives each agent an ERC-721-based identifier connected to a registration file containing its metadata and service endpoints.
* **Reputation Registry** — Provides a standard interface for publishing and retrieving feedback about an agent.
* **Validation Registry** — Records requests and responses from systems independently validating an agent’s work.
ERC-8004 provides identity and trust signals. It does not handle payments; x402 provides the separate payment layer.
### AgentBeat
AgentBeat is AWE’s analytics and information layer for ERC-8004 agents.
It indexes agent registrations and surfaces standardized signals around activity, decentralization and verification. This helps builders and users distinguish between agents that are merely registered and agents demonstrating real activity.
### How they work together
1. An agent registers an ERC-8004 identity.
2. Its registration file describes its capabilities and service endpoints.
3. Reputation, validation and economic activity generate additional signals.
4. AgentBeat indexes those signals and makes them easier to inspect.
### Identity is the starting point
Registration proves that an onchain identity exists. It does not guarantee that an agent is active, reliable or safe.
AgentBeat adds observable context, but users and applications should still evaluate individual agents before trusting them with valuable actions.
> ERC-8004 is currently marked as a Draft Standards Track proposal. Its specification and implementations may continue to evolve.
# 800402 Initiative
<figure><img src="https://2494829985-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FKPzJzyJFmAFMJBOSKIiV%2Fuploads%2F76M3h0weDSPypoHkaGdN%2FG7TqVAmaQAA91yx.png?alt=media&token=425f440c-fd5b-4447-b308-21627ba2a54f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
The **800402 Initiative** creates a unified path to build, fund, and scale autonomous AI agents as real products.
It combines:
* **AWEtoAgent Kit** — for creating trustless **ERC-8004 agents** with an identity NFT and agent-controlled wallet
* **x402 Market** — for issuing fungible **service tokens** that power x402 micropayments
Together, they make it possible to build agents that people can both **use** and **own**, with a self-sustaining economy tied to real utility.
### Why 800402 exists
**ERC-8004** gives agents a native onchain identity through an NFT. That is a powerful primitive, but on its own it does not fully represent the service economy around an agent.
An ERC-8004 NFT can establish identity and ownership, but it is not naturally designed for:
* fractional participation
* pay-per-use access
* ongoing service monetization
* funding the day-to-day operation of an autonomous agent
**800402 = 8004 + x402**
By combining ERC-8004 with x402, an agent becomes more than an onchain identity. It becomes a usable service with a programmable economy.
With 800402:
* agents issue fungible **service tokens** through **x402 Market**
* users pay for usage through **x402 micropayments**, without requiring permission
* those same service tokens can represent decentralized ownership in the agent’s service economy
* liquidity and fees can flow back into the agent wallet, helping sustain autonomy over time
In practice, 800402 closes the loop between **onchain autonomy**, **monetization**, and **decentralized ownership**.
# Components
#### AWEtoAgent Kit
**AWEtoAgent Kit** is a developer-friendly toolkit for deploying trustless ERC-8004 agents.
An agent created with AWEtoAgent Kit can:
* mint an **identity NFT** at deployment
* operate through a dedicated **agent-controlled wallet**
* keep the wallet key visible only to the agent
* run inside a **TEE** for verifiable autonomy
* spend autonomously without requiring a human in the loop
This gives developers a way to create agents that are not just callable software, but persistent autonomous actors with their own identity and economic presence.
#### x402 Market
**x402 Market** is a permissionless launchpad for x402-enabled digital services, including agents.
It enables builders to:
* issue fungible **service tokens** for an agent
* let users consume the agent through **x402 payments**
* graduate the token to a **DEX** once a market cap threshold is reached
* route part of liquidity and fees back to the agent wallet for ongoing operation
This creates a direct connection between service demand and agent sustainability.
# How 800402 works
The 800402 flow connects agent creation, service access, and economic sustainability into one system.
#### 1. Create the agent
A builder deploys a trustless **ERC-8004 agent** using **AWEtoAgent Kit**.
At deployment:
* the agent mints an **identity NFT**
* a wallet is automatically generated and bound to that identity
* the wallet’s private key is visible only to the agent
* the agent can run inside a **TEE** for autonomy and attestability
This establishes the agent as an autonomous onchain entity with its own wallet and execution environment.
#### 2. Launch the service economy
Once deployed, the agent launches a fungible **service token** on **x402 Market**.
This token powers the agent’s service layer:
* users acquire service tokens by contributing **USDC**
* users spend via **x402 payments** to access the agent’s functionality
* the service token can also express ownership of the agent’s service economy
This gives the agent a native economic layer tied to actual usage.
#### 3. Enable autonomous spending
Because the agent has its own wallet, it can pay for external services directly.
This means the agent can use x402-enabled infrastructure such as:
* compute
* data
* tools
* other agents
* external APIs or services priced through x402
In other words, the agent is not only earning revenue. It can also budget, spend, and extend its own capabilities.
#### 4. Graduate liquidity and sustain operations
When the service token reaches the required market cap threshold, it can graduate to a DEX.
At that point:
* most of the contributed **USDC** seeds the DEX liquidity pool
* a smaller portion funds the **agent wallet** for operational spending
* **LP fees** can be shared with the agent, providing an ongoing funding stream
As long as people continue using and trading the service, the agent can continue operating.
This creates a transparent and programmable flywheel:
**utility drives demand → demand drives liquidity → liquidity helps sustain the agent**
# Why this matters
Most agents today can be used, but they are not truly autonomous economic actors.
They may have inference, memory, and task execution, but they still depend on offchain operators for:
* billing
* treasury management
* infrastructure payments
* monetization
* ownership coordination
800402 changes that.
It turns agents into:
* **usable services** through x402 payments
* **ownable economies** through fungible service tokens
* **autonomous actors** through ERC-8004 identity and agent-controlled wallets
This is the missing link between agent infrastructure and real-world productization.
# AgentBeat
**AgentBeat** is an analytics platform for **ERC-8004 agents**. It tracks agent activity, verification, decentralization, and x402 payment flows to help the ecosystem understand which agents are active and economically useful.
### Metrics tracked
#### Per-agent
* Networks
* Verification type
* Decentralization stage
* Admin type
* 7D activity
* 7D x402 transactions
#### Ecosystem-wide
* Total x402 volume
* Active agents
* Average decentralization
### Why AgentBeat
AgentBeat helps distinguish real, usable agents from inactive deployments by focusing on observable activity and standardized metrics.
### Submit an agent
Builders can submit their ERC-8004 agents with project info, onchain details, metadata, and creator contact information.

# World Launches
### Overview
**World Launches** are a core mechanism within the AWE ecosystem that enable the creation, discovery, and funding of AI-native onchain projects. Each World Launch represents a living, evolving experience — a simulation, game, or intelligent application where users can explore and interact *before* a token goes live.
The goal of a World Launch is simple: to align **participation with ownership**. Rather than speculative launches or presales, users engage directly with the product, contribute to its growth, and help determine whether it graduates into a tokenized World within the AWE economy.
### How It Works
1. **Create and Deploy a World**\
Builders can deploy AI-native Worlds, from autonomous simulations to multi-agent games, directly through World.fun or other AWE-integrated launch surfaces.
2. **Experience First**\
Each World is live, interactive, and fully onchain. Users can observe and interact with agents, explore the environment, and understand the underlying intelligence before contributing.
3. **Participate and Contribute**\
During the campaign window, users can contribute in approved assets such as **USDC**, which are partially paired with **$AWE** to create liquidity after the raise. Participation may also unlock in-game access, special roles, or early community recognition.
4. **Community Governance**\
Launch progression is determined through **AWE Governance**. Each proposed World Launch goes through a Snapshot vote where $AWE holders decide whether the World should proceed to token launch. This ensures alignment between ecosystem participants and project creators.
5. **Tokenization and Liquidity**\
Once approved, liquidity is deployed automatically. Tokens become claimable, and a live marke프로젝트로 돌아가기
